Designing an Iconic Brand for Geopolitical Analysis

Overview
Asbab is an Arabic geopolitical intelligence web platform that brings an analytical, research-derived perspective to global events, empowering businesses, governments and individuals to navigate an increasingly complex world with greater confidence. Asbab fills a gap in the Arabic information market by offering analyses and forecasts that reveal underlying context and future implications of current events.

The Challenge
Deepmark was assigned to create a new, comprehensive visual brand identity and style guide. This brand identity was to extend to communication channels and collateral. This professional new identity needed to be dynamic and urgent, as well as conveying Asbab’s deep insight.


The Solution
The eye at the centre conveys an immediate message of insight. The logo’s outward-growing lines invite consideration of multiple viewpoints and insight beyond the norm. Strong red connotes dynamic energy injected into the industry of sourcing and contextualizing information. The look and feel were iterated across collateral.
